A few months ago I was super impressed by the launch of 50hacks – a side marketing effort by Marc Louivon that got a great reception in the Indie Making space and got to number 2 product of the day on Product Hunt. I’m going to recreate that product to market Tier List Makers in the streaming space using NoCode.
Inspired by 50Hacks
Before I say anything – thanks to Marc for helping me already with the concept and go and check his site out as well as Habits Garden:
Marc really inspired me with his launch of 50Hacks where he essentially crowd brainstormed productivity ideas and put them into a simple voting site. It’s a great idea and helps people with their aims on productivity which is also what his main product does – totally aligned, and that’s why it works.
I got to see the product early being part of the Wannabe Entrepreneur community as he’s also member. So inputted my own ideas for productivity hacks. It had a great Product Hunt Launch and succeeded in getting to 2nd spot during the day with nearly 600 votes.
50 Streaming Hacks
Whilst I’m going to use the same concept for 50 Streaming Hacks, I’m going to have to make some changes so that: 1 it applies to my market for Tier List Makers (Twitch Streamers) and 2 so that I can build it which means building with No Code.
Streamers are always looking to grow and there now an increasing number of growth tools, tips, guides and creators in the space. So, I think it’s a good time to be launching this kind of product. It’ll be much the same as 50Hacks and will gather streamer growth hacks and put them into a voting site.
We’re still in the soft launch for Tier List Makers but here’s the site:
What Are The Challenges Going to Be?
I think one of the first challenges is going to be deciding on the NoCode tools that I’m going to use. I think I could build this pretty quickly using Airtable and Softr as Softr has a voting page template that I could use and I’m familiar with both tools.
The site would be quite limited though and expanding on it would be a challenge. A more long-term option would be to make the site in either Bubble or Webflow – neither of which I have any experience in. Both would take considerably longer to build for me as I’d be on a steep learning curve.
The advantage of building in either Bubble or Webflow would be that I’d get some real experience in building on those platforms and that might enable me in future to develop some pretty cool stuff! I’d probably get more out of the #100DaysofNoCode MVP Bootcamp too as I’d be pushing myself into new areas. I’ll be taking advice on what to do!
