This week I’m continuing and accelerating my NoCode journey as I start the 100DaysofNoCode MVP Bootcamp – I set out here what I’m looking to achieve.
I had previously tried to do the 100 Days of No Code challenge run by Max Haining but I fell short as my day job and life got in the way – the consistency required just wasn’t there for me.
After a chat with Katt Risen who had previously participated in the Bootcamp I figured the short sharp deeper approach might be better for me so here goes!
What I’ll be making during the Bootcamp
The primary purpose of the Bootcamp is to make a Product using NoCode. It can be anything you like. For me I’m actually going to try and build two side projects for Tier List Makers.
Streamer Memer (Name TBD)
The first is a meme database that’ll give Twitch streamers some memes to share for their social media profiles. I’ve already developed a lot of memes to market Tier List Makers and this will be a way to promote the product and to give streamers some free content. Here’s just one I’ve made before:
This product is very much inspired by Memelogy which is made by the Indie Hacker meme extraordinaire Dagobert! PS he knows what I’m up to and has been super helpful in how I go about making it.
50Streamer Hacks (Name TBD)
Whilst the first is very much passive and is just a simple directory the second will require a bit more work. It’s going to be a set of “Hacks” (I hate that word!) for streamers to grow their streams. Now I’m no expert so I want to tap into the collective knowledge of streamers.
The way I’m going to do this is to get them to put in their own ideas and vote on them. Again I’ve been inspired by other Indie Hackers and this time it’s 50Hacks by Marc.
How I’ll Go About Building These
I’m going to be following the lesson plan in the Bootcamp, and I’m hoping that that’ll give me all of the knowledge and guidance I need to make these two side products. I suspect they’ll be made using Airtable and Softr which I’ve already got some experience building in for one of my products called TweetStores (which I need to get back to!).
More importantly I’m looking forward to two other things as part of the bootcamp. Firstly, The rest of the cohort – it’s hard to work alone and it’ll be great to be going through the course with others, for that push, that accountability and that help and support.
Then Secondly, I’m looking for more active coaching and help from the 100DaysofNoCode gang, but in more of a real time setting. I’ve struggled with some of the smallest things on my NoCode journey and those frustrations build, so having access to people with answers will definitely help!
Wish me Luck 🤣
